RNIB (Royal National Institute of the Blind) recently introduced the PENFriend- a compact, audio labelling device which enables the user to create customized labels and affix them to bottles, tin cans and other packaging to assist in quickly identifying items in the kitchen, the home or in the office. Labels can also be affixed to CD’s, bottles of medications, documents and any other items that need to be identified. The Braille King is an innovative, portable four-line slate and stylus that eliminates the need to emboss Braille using the mirror or reverse right to left method as is necessary with all other slate and styluses. The KNFBReader is the result of a collaberative effort between Kurzweil Technologies Inc.and the National Federation of the Blind in the United States.
